Milwaukee Police respond to three shootings overnight

by Dustin Vrab

A quiet period on Milwaukee's streets has come to an end.  We have several reports of violent incidents from over night.

A fatal shooting happend around 10:20 last night along the 2300 block of North Richards.  Milwaukee police report a 38-year-old man was shot and killed.  Police think that man knew his attacker, but the suspect got away.  Police tell us they're still working to identify that suspect.

Then, about an hour later, we saw a double shooting not far to the northwest.  That happened at Clark and Teutonia.  A 22-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man both were shot along the sidewalk.  We're learning that it was an apparent robbery attempt.  Both victims are expected to survive.

Just minutes later and just two blocks away, another shooting happened.  This incident was at 10th and Center, near North Division High School.  Police responded there at 11:12pm.  Police haven't told us if the two nearby shootings are conncected.
