Chief Flynn heads to Washington D.C. to talk assault weapons banMILWAUKEE -- President Obama has been pushing congress to tighten up laws, following December's deadly shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn is heading to Washington D.C. to join the gun control debate. He will be one of the witnesses testifying in Washington D.C. about the assault weapons ban proposal. In CBS58's special series on gun control, Chief Flynn shared his opinion on a semi-automatic rifle ban and limitations on magazine capacities. Chief Flynn isn't the first police chief from Southeast Wisconsin to speak to Washington about gun control. Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards spoke directly with President Obama and Vice President Biden. |
