MILWAUKEE--Friends and family gathered Thursday afternoon for a candlelight vigil where a young woman was murdered one year ago.

Dayan Garcia Bados was stabbed to death in the backyard of the family home on 13th and Montana on Milwaukee's south side.

The tragedy happened one year ago exactly.

Her killer is still out there.

The prime suspect is her estranged husband, Jose Luis Discua Bados.

The family has taken it upon themselves to launch a public awareness campaign about the unsolved crime. They say there will be no peace until there is justice for Dayan.

They also fear other women are not safe because they believe Jose is dangerous.
