Milwaukee County correctional officer arrested for possession of marijuana

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County correctional officer was arrested on May 13th for possession of marijuana just before 8:00 p.m. Milwaukee police officers pulled over 23-year-old Leon Martin for a traffic violation, and saw him throw a baggy out the window.

Milwaukee police noted the smell of marijuana coming from the car when they approached the stopped vehicle. The bag Martin tossed out the window weighed 1.1 grams.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says Martin is on a six-month probationary period and faces termination. Martin received a citation from the Milwaukee Police Department.
