Milwaukee County Supervisor calls for audit of paratransit contract

by Chris Patterson

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Supervisor David Cullen released a statement calling for an audit of emergency para-transit contracts. He points to a newspaper article that reported Milwaukee County is paying $8.6 million more than it needs to for the service.

Supervisor Cullen says, "This is an example of what can happen when the county board is not involved in oversight of contracts."

In his release, Supervisor Cullen expressed concern about the length of the three year emergency para-transit contracts. He's calling for the process to be more open and transparent.
