Medical examiner's office confirms identity of Mount Pleasant house fire

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Racine County Medical Examiner's Officer positively identified Bianca Vite as the victim of a Mount Pleasant house fire. Before official word from the medical examiner's officer, Vite's relatives knew she was the victim.

The fatal fire is being investigated by Mount Pleasant police as a homicide. Neighbors are confused by the homicide, because they say no one lives in the house. Neighbor Ernesto Saldana says, "It's been empty for a while."

Mount Pleasant police are still looking for answers in this case, and have not taken anyone into custody. Police are asking anyone with information on this homicide, please call 262-886-2300.
