MILWAUKEE—Two Marquette students hit by a car Monday have been identified.

Nicole Gibson and Honallee Go are both still hospitalized, but Go is expected to be released from the hospital later this week.

Both girls were seriously hurt when a car jumped the curb and hit them on the sidewalk near 17th Street and Wisconsin Ave Monday morning.

911 dispatchers fielded a number of calls including one from an eyewitness who actually chased down the 62-year-old driver three blocks from the scene.

The driver was not arrested.

Police do not believe that alcohol was a factor.

Despite the 911 call police are not calling this a hit and run, which leads us to believe that the driver may have suffered some sort of medical condition, but police will not confirm that.
