WAUKESHA -- The 50-year-old man who caused a school lock down at Carroll University has been fined $303 by police for disorderly conduct. On April 16th, two students call law enforcement to report a man walking around campus with a gun. Turns out it was just 50-year-old Michael Wiedeman walking home with an airsoft gun.

Campus safety officers got the call from students at 10:30 a.m., and were on the scene within 20-30 seconds. Campus officers did not see the man students reported to 911 dispatchers.

Students at Carroll University received a text at 10:39 a.m. from the school telling them to remain indoors, because of reports of a man with a firearm near the Barstow St. and Grand Ave.

Carroll University and several other schools were all put on lock down while police worked to locate Wiedeman.
