Man recovers after overnight shooting

MILWAUKEE—The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating after a man is shot overnight.

Police were called to the North Division Neighborhood around 12:30 a.m. Sunday for reports of shots being fired.

When officers arrived they found a 31-year-old man who had been wounded in the 1700 block of West Hopkins.

That man was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

The case is still under investigation.

No suspects are in custody.
