MILWAUKEE--Milwaukee police are investigating after a man was shot and killed Friday night.

The 42-year-old man was gunned down right in front of his home near 23rd & Cherry around 10 p.m.

Police said that they are still investigating and interviewing witnesses, but they believe that the man was shot during a dispute.

But the man’s family said that not’s the case.

"It wasn't about an argument, or a fight. It was around nine. He went out for a ride, came back, and he never made it back inside. He died right in front of that tree right here," said Cierra McDaniell the victim’s niece.

The victim’s family said that this was the second time that he was shot in front of his home and that he was looking to move from the area next week.

No one has been arrested yet.

Family members said that they are planning on holding a vigil Sunday.
