TOWN OF BROOKFIELD -- A police chase through Waukesha County involving a stolen box truck ends with a close call and a crash in the Town of Brookfield. The truck just missed running into a house.

The 28-year-old Milwaukee man that led police on the chase allegedly stole the truck the Hartland area. He drove on eastbound I-94 for at least 15 minutes before exiting the freeway at Moorland and Carpenter.

The Waukesha Sheriff's Department says the 28-year-old man ran out of the truck, and tried to hide behind a shed in the back of the house. He was surrounded by law enforcement and arrested.

The truck driven by the suspect belongs to Capitol Husting, a wine and liquor company. Law enforcement says the truck was stolen while the driver was inside a Hartland Piggly Wiggly store.
