Man killed in house fire

MILWAUKEE—A 66-year-old man is killed in a late night house fire.

Crews were called out to the home on Hillcrest Ave. near the intersection of Oklahoma and Kinnickinnic at 10:40 p.m. Saturday.

The resident of the home, identified as Donald Webber, was found dead in a first floor bedroom.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated. According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, the home had no working smoke detectors.

Damage was estimated at $20,000 to the house and $10,000 to its contents.

Milwaukee Police are investigating.
