59-year-old man injured after rear ending a heavy truck in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT -- A 59-year-old man was seriously injured in an accident on State Highway 20 in Mount Pleasant on August 6 just before 7:30 a.m.

Police say the 59-year-old man was driving an SUV on State Highway 20 and rear ended a heavy asphalt truck slowing down in reaction to heavy traffic. The 59-year-old man suffered severe injuries, and was transported to a Milwaukee hospital by Flight for Life.

Investigators say alcohol or drugs are not believed to have played a role in this collision. The 59-year-old man will be cited for Inattentive Driving.
