SHEBOYGAN COUNTY—A 98-year-old man was hit by a van and killed while getting his mail.

Sheriff Deputies said Erhard Klug of Random Lake accidentally stepped into the path of a van on County Road HH around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.

He was taken by helicopter to Froedtert Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

A 52-year-old woman from Random Lake was driving the van.
