Man found in MKE River identified as 52-year-old Robert Hewitt

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office reports the body found in the river on September 6th has been identified as 52-year-old Robert Hewitt of Kansas City, MO.

According to Medical Examiner's Office, the 52-year-old was dressed in Harley Davidson clothing when his body was pulled from the river.

The Medical Examiner's Office says earlier reports that Hewitt may have been in town for the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary are unconfirmed.

Hewitt was last seen as he was released from the Milwaukee County Jail on August 30th. Relatives told the Medical Examiner's Office Hewitt was homeless.
