Man charged with Waukesha murder due in court Thursday

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- The man accused of committing Waukesha's first murder in two years is due in court on Thursday.

Billy Ingram is accused of killing gas station manager Nayyer Rana during a robbery at the Petro Mart on Broadway last May.

Ingram has pleaded not guilty to the charge. Police say when they picked up Ingram, he had the murder weapon on him and he was also carrying some of the victim's personal items.

Ingram's lawyers have argued that just because he had the items does not indicate he committed the crime.
