Man charged in hit and run accident with school bus
MILWAUKEE—Charges have been filed against a Milwaukee man allegedly involved in a hit and run accident with a school bus.
29-year-old Derrick Walker has been charged with fleeing police and criminal damage to property. On Thursday, Walker was speeding sway from an officer who tried to pull him over for expired tags. A few blocks away he crashed into a school bus which rolled up onto the front yard of a home at 60th St and Carmen. No kids were on board at the time. The driver wasn’t hurt, but Walker ran away leaving his car behind. Police traced the registration back to an address where they found Walker and took him into custody. He said that he left the scene because he was scared since he had no license and no insurance. |
