Man charged in fatal hit and run bound over for trial

Milwaukee -- Edwood Hastings was bound over for trial after entering a not guilty plea. Hastings is accused of killing Andrea Barringer in a hit and run accident.

On August 11th, Barringer and two of her Mount Mary classmates had dinner at Comet Cafe.  Andrea was crossing Farwell when she was struck by a Chevy Blazer.  Witnesses say the vehicle stopped briefly, then took off.

The next day, someone unrelated to Hastings noticed a parked damaged Blazer and called police.

As police investigate, Hastings turned himself in and allegedly told the police officer he was the person driving the SUV that had hit someone the night before on Farwell.

Hastings will be in court later this afternoon.  If he's found guilty of one count of hit and run resulting in death, he could get up to 25 years behind bars.
