RACINE - A 25 year old man is charged with first degree intentional homicide for the death of his girlfriend.

27 year old Gwynevere Wright died Tuesday night from more than 15 stab wounds.

It happened inside their Racine apartment.

After the killing, Iryin Vaughn took the couple's 2 year old daughter and fled to Chicago.

An Amber Alert was issued. Hours later the little girl and Vaughn were found at a home in Chicago.

He's awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin to face charges.

Vaughn was in court the day of the murder on two prior violent incidents against Wright.

According to online court records, Vaughn was supposed to stay away from Wright as a condition of bail from those incidents.
