Man behind tavern robberies to be sentenced Friday

MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- The 24-year-old man behind an armed robbery at a West Allis tavern will find out if he's going to go to prison.

Kenneth Kowis is scheduled to be sentenced Friday.

Surveillance video showed Kowis and another man storming into a couple taverns to steal money.

Kowis told police he's a heroine addict and he ripped off the bars to fuel his habit.

He plead guilty to armed robbery earlier this year.
