Man arrested after West Bend standoff

WEST BEND-- A man is arrested following standoff in Wet Bend.

A citizen called the West Bend Police Department around 8:15 p.m. Friday.

That caller stated that a 46-year-old man was bleeding from the head and claimed to be shot.

The caller also said that the man had locked himself in his apartment.

Officers arrived to the man's residence, but he refused assistance.

He said that he was armed and threatened violence against anyone who entered his home.

The Special Response team negotiated with the man and at 10:55 p.m. he exited his apartment.

The investigation showed that the man had not been shot and his injury was accidental.

There were no additional injuries to the man or any officers.

The 46-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and a probation violation.
