Man Accused of Stabbing Girlfriend Pleads Not Guilty
GREENFIELD-- 38-year-old Christopher Gish, accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death, pleaded not guilty at his preliminary hearing Wednesday morning and is now bound over for trial.
Greenfield police found 37-year-old Maggie Litwicki lying in a pool of blood in her bedroom earlier this month. Litwicki and Gish had two children together, 7 and 8-year-old boys. Litwicki was also the mother of a young girl. Gish told police it was when she threatened to take the boys away from him that he killed her. CBS58 spoke with Litwicki's family after the proceedings. Litwicki's aunt, Shari Ayers, described her as a "loving person, caring, very close to the family, do anything for her family." Litwicki's mother claims Gish was on drugs and emotionally abusive. Gish faces life in prison, charged with first degree intentional homicide. His trial is set for August 9. |
