MILWAUKEE---Sounds of joy from a little girls with a serious disease rang out at Pet Supplies Plus in Greenfield Friday. This moment of joy came after sobering news delivered to Tiffany McAllister this par January.
"I noticed a lump in her stomach and I took her to Children's Hospital and they diagnosed her with neuroblastoma stage four cancer," McAllister said.
So today the Make-A-Wish Foundation Wisconsin stepped in the make little Tahani's wish come true with a puppy that the four year old and her mom believe will help her deal with her illness.
"This is just a blessing in disguise cause I wanted her to have something like this to bond with," McAllister said.
Make-A-Wish says this isn't their first puppy wish but they couldn't have done it without the support of local businesses. Pet Supplies Plus hosted the event and provided a shopping spree. Also, Fromm Family Foods is donating one year of food for Tahani's new pup.
The two month old Havanese puppy was donated by a breeder who says the little guy is up for the job of bonding with Tahani.
