MPD officers shot at while serving search warrant

MILWAUKEE-- Tactical and District 2 officers with the Milwaukee Police Department were fired at while serving a search warrant near 25th & Orchard Wednesday night said police.

The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. Police said that when the officers started to enter the home the people inside fired multiple shots.

The officers did not fire shots back.

An officer was struck by some debris that shot through the wall because of the bullets. That officer was not injured.

Six suspects were taken into custody and no one was injured.

The search warrant that officers were there to serve was for firearms and narcotics.
