MPD officers assist mom giving birth in trafficMILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police officers helped a mother who recently gave birth in a car stopped in traffic on the city's south side. Officer Peter Ulatowski was the officer that found Judy Johnson in the car with her newborn infant. Officer Stiles, a trained EMT and Registered Nurse, responded to the scene and used his medical kit to cut the attached umbilical cord. Police say once the cord was severed, Johnson's discomfort was relieved. Both the mother and baby were transported to a local hospital, and are doing well. |
