Love Unleashed: Viewers share their pet loss experiencesAfter watching Love Unleashed: Pet Loss Support Group CBS58 viewers sent us their stories about pets they lost. Or perhaps they just want to share "tales" about their furry friends still alive. I was the proud owner of a Black Labrador/Husky mix female named Jazmine. Jazmine was smart, compassionate, cute, funny, loving and the love of my life. We spent a lot of time together bonding going on long walks through the park, enjoying each other every second of life. One day she stopped eating and I brought her to the vet where they explained her kidney function was compromised. To make a long story short, I brought her to the emergency center a few days later because she still wasn't eating enough to take her antibiotics. They told me she had Lyme disease and if we didn't act fast we would lose her. No question about it, my loving companion was worth so much more to me than the cost of treatment. After 3 days of treatments we had to face the horrible fact that we had to put her to sleep. She was only 7 years old. I was devastated. Looking back there were minor intermittent signs but nothing real noticeable since most days she acted like her loving self. I miss her sooooo much. The love she gave me was so wonderful and I never experienced anything like it in my life. She was sooo good. The only saving grace is I know I gave her the love and respect of a great life while she was here, although it was short. I pray for all the pet owners who have, and who will lose a companion some day. It really hurts. I will always cherish the memories we had together. I love you Jazmine. ~Julianne Bought him in Phoenix 3 years ago and he's been my baby ever since! His favorite song is the 80s hit Take On Me by the ever popular A-Ha.. His name is Butters and he is bad.
