Local reaction to Right to Work in Michigan

MILWAUKEE - The political turmoil that Wisconsin went through nearly two years ago is now happening in Michigan. In 2011 Governor Walker supported legislation that would end collective bargaining for most state public workers. Protesters packed the capitol in opposition.

In Michigan, lawmakers have passed Right to Work legislation and the Governor says he'll sign it into law. When that happens, people will no longer be forced to join a union in the public or private sector where union jobs exist now.

Protesters are flocking to the Michigan capitol in opposition to that legislation. Many union workers here have gone to Michigan to support the fight against the Right to Work law there.
