WAUWATOSA---Best Buy doesn't open until midnight but already people are lining up to get access to Black Friday bargains, fearful that supplies will go fast if they're not first to arrive.

Other retailers are opening much earlier at 8:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving night.

It's a move that has generated a lot of controversy.

Big name chains say they're starting Black Friday sales earlier because that's what the customer wants.

Even though many say they think the holiday should be a time workers spend with families, the size of crowds that have already gathered shows there's a real appetite for shopping right after that turkey dinner.
