Lake Express Ferry delivers hundreds of Harley riders

MILWAUKEE -- You expect to see thousands of Harleys rolling into town on the freeway, but many will also float to this weekend's 110th celebration aboard the Lake Express Ferry.

About 120 Harley riders arrived around noon Wednesday, making the 2.5-hour journey across Lake Michigan.

The Lake Express is dedicating a bunch of its space this week to getting 110th celebrators here.  Normally only 12 motorcycles go on each ferry, but more than half of the ridership this week will be Harley riders.  Lake Express operators see the trip as a great chance for riders to relax.
We're told riders from Pittsburgh and Canada came in on yesterday's ferry.  A group of Germans from Baden (southwestern Germany) came in on Wednesday's ride.
