CEDARBURG -- UPDATE: Staff at T.J. Ryan's bar in Cedarburg tells CBS 58 news that shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday somebody turned in costume that looks like the Italian Racing Sausage costume that went missing after a fan event.

The staff also claims that police now have the costume, but police offered no comment when contacted by CBS 58 News.

Klement's posted on its facebook page that it is waiting for an official inspection to confirm if it is in fact the same costume.

A source tells us that police definitely took custody of the costume.

Bar staff provided the above photo showing the sausage at the bar on Wednesday night to prove that it helped facilitate the recovery.

ORIGINAL REPORT:

One of the Brewers racing sausages has gone missing after bar hopping in Cedarburg. The Klement Sausage Company says it's saddened by the disappearance of Guido the Klement's Racine Italian Sausage.

In a release the company says the Klement's racing sausages are rented for community events with non-profit organizations and local schools.

Klement's Sausage Director of Marketing Rebecca Quella says, "This is the Wurst of Times." The company says it is working with the Cedarburg Police Department to locate the missing sausage.

If you have any pictures of the sausage during the Cedarburg fundraiser it was last seen at, please e-mail those pictures to pix@cbs58.com
