John Doe hearing on mental health complex death wraps up

MILWAUKEE --- The John Doe hearing into the death of Brandon Johnson while he was in custody at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex concluded Thursday.

After four days of testimony, the decision is now in the hands of the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. According to the Assistant DA Mark Williams, the DA's office will get the transcripts from the hearing in 45 days and make a decision on whether of not charges will be filed two weeks later.

The decision then goes back to the judge.

Brandon Johnson, 25, died back in October at the mental health complex from a broken neck.
