MILWAUKEE---Former offenders spoke with CBS 58's Britni McDonald about what they learned while in prison and why they deserve a second chance after serving their time.

More than 100 Wisconsin employers gathered at Serb Hall for the first Employer Summit with the Milwaukee Re-entry Network to learn about what it would mean to hire a former offender.

Tracy Hudrlik with the department of corrections pointed out that reintegrating former offenders back into society saves the state thousands of dollars ($32,000 to incarcerate someone) and prevents them from going back to prison.
