Independent Review of Police Interaction with Radcliffe Haughton

BROWN DEER--- The Village of Brown Deer has announced there will be an independent review and evaluation of encounters with Radcliffe and Zina Haughton.

The Brown Deer Village manager Russell Van Gompel made the annoucement Friday. He aslo made the following statment about the investigation.

“In the interest of getting an unbiased evaluation of the facts and law enforcement standards relevant to the Village of Brown Deer Police Department's contacts with the Haughtons, we have hired Wisconsin Law Enforcement Instructor Robert C. Willis to conduct an independent review of all contacts with the Haughtons. We have instructed Mr. Willis that he has no restraints on the scope or depth of his review."

Gompel went on to say they would be fully cooperating with the investigation and make all personnel and records available to Willis.

There will be a report issued by Willis once the investigation is completed.
