MILWAUKEE -- Earlier this year, Former Milwaukee Police Officer Michael Vagnini was convicted and sentence for conducting illegal body cavity searches on Milwaukee citizens. Now, two of those victims are suing the City of Milwaukee, and several current and former police officers.

Jerrold Ezell and Anthony Pettis are both speaking out for the first time since the officers were criminally charged. Vagnini got a plea deal, because prosecutors thought the victims would not testify in court due to embarrassment.

According to the lawsuit, Ezell and Pettis had illegal body cavity searches performed on them more than once in the same year. The lawsuit says other Milwaukee police officers watched as Vagnini put his hand inside both men. The lawsuit also states no drugs were found during every search Vagnini conducted on the two men.
