If you can't take the heat

stay inside with the air conditioning

by Michele McCormack

WEST ALLIS-The advice is simple enough, stay indoors with the air conditioning during the hot and humid summer weather.

But the fact is, there are still many who don't have air conditioning.

We came across Brian Olson who lives along Hawley Avenue who was hanging around in his front yard because it was cooler outside than inside.

He has one little fan, no air, and no money to buy an air conditioner.

"Just don't have the money for it, " he told CBS 58's Michele McCormack.

Cathey Fritz who lives a few doors down says she can't handle it much longer.

"It's miserable," she said as she sat on her front porch, "I feel like I'm in an inferno."

Both said they try to keep drinking water and take it easy with physical activity.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of Southeastern Wisconsin through Friday evening.

The combination of heat and humidity will make it feel like 95 to 105 from late morning through the evening each day.
