MILWAUKEE - The husband accused of shooting and killing his Wauwatosa police officer wife on Christmas Eve has been ordered to be held on $1 million cash bond.

Ben Sebena, of Menomonee Falls, made his initial appearance Thursday.

He will be back in court next week.

According to the criminal complaint, Jennifer Sebena was shot five times in the head.

The complaint also quotes Ben Sebena as telling investigators that he shot his wife that many times because he wanted to make sure she was dead so she wouldn't suffer.

Ben Sebena was charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the Monday slaying of Jennifer Sebena.
