ROCHESTER -- Neighbors say it was the loudest boom they ever heard.

Turns out it was a lightning strike that hit a home around 6:30 Wednesday night.

The family inside didn't even realized their house was on fire at first.

It was other residents who saw smoke coming out f the garage and started yelling that they noticed the flames.

A neighbor says their power was knocked out, but it came back out when they flipped the circuit breaker.
