Honoring Members of Our Country's Armed Forces
MILWAUKEE -- Today the country takes time to reflect and honor those who have served our country.
"Veterans have given us freedom, security and the greatest nation on Earth. It is impossible to put a price on that. We must remember them. We must appreciate them," says American Legion State Commander, Wayne Jensen at a Veteran's day ceremony in Milwaukee's MacArthur Square. "It's a rewarding feeling to know that people are behind you. They back you up. You come in and you have a family setting like this where the older veterans are part of your family," says U.S. Airman William Pelkfor of Hales Corners who came to the ceremony with his mother. Cbs 58's Elizabeth Fay takes us to the ceremony held by the American Legion. |
