MILWAUKEE -- The Wisconsin Humane Society is asking for help to fund medical treatment for Jerome the dog. Jerome was brought to the Humane Society's Racine campus with a fractured and injured leg that later had to be amputated.

Jerome is recovering in Racine, and will make as full a recover as possible. The Wisconsin Humane Society plans to put Jerome up for adoption in the near future.

Medical care for Jerome is estimated to exceed $1,500, and that's why the Wisconsin Humane Society is asking you to donate $10, $25 or even $50.
