Governor wants tribal meeting over casino
Scott Walker says he wants to meet with all 11 tribes
MILWAUKEE-Governor Scott Walker tells CBS 58 News that he plans to sit down with all 11 of Wisconsin's Native American Tribe to talk about a new casino in Kenosha.
"I will be sitting down with them to facilitate a discussion." Walker said on Friday night.
The Governor says the meeting will take place some time next week and the goal remains building a consensus among the tribes when it comes to the Menominee's proposed casino on the site of Dairyland Dog Track.
The Potawatomi Tribe believes that new casino will not only cut into their business, but cost jobs in Milwaukee.
