West Allis --- Two teenagers died in Sunday's fire at a West Allis duplex.

"Today is our grieving day," West Milwaukee Intermediate School principal Jeffery Taylor said.

"It's like a punch in the stomach," Rafael Gomez, the cousin of 14-year-old Michael Gonzales who died in Sunday's fire.

Gonzales and fellow 14-year-old Isaiha Kobow died in the fire.

Gonzales attended Wedgewood Park International School in Milwaukee, while Kobow attended West Milwaukee Intermediate.

"[Gonazales] He played sports. He loved football," Gomez said.

West Milwaukee Intermediate decorated lockers and made ribbons to honor Kobow.

"We have to go through this in order to move forward," Taylor said.  "We are certainly going to celebrate his life.  He had a lot of friends here and teachers that loved him."

Both schools had extra counselors available for students Monday.
