MILWAUKEE-It was an extraordinary journey for a select group of MPS students who traveled down south to retrace the steps of legendary civil rights activists.

Their experiences and lessons now displayed in artwork and on display at the Arts at Large studio in the Walker's Point section of Milwaukee.

The annual golf outing called the "Fellowship Open" gave special recognition to the project during a special awards ceremony on August 15th.

CBS 58's Michele McCormack spent some time with the students and learned that they gained a certain degree of peace of mind and strength when faced with ignorance or prejudice at home.

Here is Michele's report from our weekly public affairs program "Eye to Eye."
