Free Meal Shared With Thousands
MILWAUKEE---Cory Lockridge has been a volunteer server for 18 years for the annual family feast.
It's a huge dinner welcome to everyone who wants to share in the spirit of Christmas. "My mom has always done it," Cory told CBS 58 News. "So, it's a family tradition." The feast is a Milwaukee tradition that started 23 years ago and is organized by the Salvation Army and radio station 1290 WMCS. 9-year-old Jonathan McCauley probably put it best when he said, "It means peace. If you dont have money and you come down here, you will get fed for free." |
