Arraignment rescheduled for former county employee accused of embezzling
Milwaukee -- A former Milwaukee County employee, Freida Webb, was scheduled to appear in court on August 20th. The judge granted requests from Webb's attorney's to reschedule her arraignment hearing.
Freida Webb was Milwaukee County's Minority Contracting Manager and is now charged with four felonies accusing her of forgery, misconduct in office, theft of more than $10,000 and arranging a private contract with Homer Key of 5 Star Construction and Renovation Services.
Webb and Key allegedly bilked the county out of money aimed for the Community Development Block Grant among other programs.
Webb is expected back in court on August 20th.
