A former Milwaukee Area Technical College employee faces two counts of theft after being accused of using a school issued credit card for personal purchases.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, Kristin Seimits, 44, is accused of buying more than $250,000 worth of items like trips,a vehicle down payment and electronics among other things since 2005.

Seimits was the procurement manager for MATC which according to the criminal complaint included oversight of the "use of credit cards that MATC provided to its employees to make purchases on behalf of the college."

Seimits bonded out of jail late Monday evening. A spokesperson for MATC said she resigned from her position in September of 2011.

In a statement MATC wrote "Upon confirming the transactions, it became clear that the matter raised serious legal concerns. Records related to this matter were presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office for review in October 2011. We have cooperated fully with the District Attorney."

I wonder what will happen to the husband. He had to know what was going on and had to agree to the thefts.
