ST. FRANCIS-When Blass Berumen leaves his home each day he sees blight.

His neighborhood is full of foreclosed properties which he fears will only invite crime.

He believes the federal government should do something about it, but is angry that, in his view, Governor Scott Walker is standing in the way.

On Wednesday Berumen got some major backing as the Mayors of Milwaukee, St. Francis, Racine and Oak Creek lashed out against Walker.

The Governor exercised his legal authority to use $25.6 million from the national foreclosure settlement to help balance the budget.

It's leaving a bad taste in the mouths of local city leaders.

CBS 58's Carlos Vergara reports.
