MILWAUKEE -- All five men accused in the brutal killing of a transgendered Milwaukee man will go to trial. The men pleaded not guilty in court, then the judge heard testimony from the detective who interviewed the suspects. It was the first someone publicly divulge the details on how Evon Young was beaten, suffocated and shot to death.
Milwaukee Police Detective Timothy Graham described how the defendants wrapped Young's body in a sheet, and then took it to a dumpster and burned it. The men will be back in court next month. Milwaukee police have spent the entire week searching a landfill in Menomonee Falls where they think Young's body is buried, but nothing has been found yet.
