Fire Creates Traffic Hazard and Shuts Down Human Services Centersmoke and soot traveled far
MILWAUKEE-For several hours drivers on I-43 had to pump the brakes, uncertain of how to get through the thick smoke that billowed onto the roadway.
It was from a five alarm blaze at a huge building that caught fire just about a block from the interstate around 8 a.m. Wednesday. The sheriff's office reports no accidents as a result of the smoke. Meantime, the Coggs Human Services Center had so much smoke and soot travel inside that it's shut down until at least Monday, June 25th. People who go there for assistance should call 1-888-947-6583. |
