Fiesta Waukesha 2012
WAUKESHA-- A three day festival celebrating latin american culture is offering visitors a unique experience this year.
Nine indigenous artisans from Guatemala are participating in this year's Fiesta Waukesha. The group is exhibiting their work, which includes weaving, painting and playing traditional music. It's a unique experience that's drawing lots of attention. "I think that's great that they came here to do that. You get to see them at work, making the pieces and everything," said Tom Trokan, who went to the festival with his wife on Sunday. Aside from the Guatemalan artisans, the festival is featuring local bands, Latin American food, amusement rides and more. The festival is free to the public and it runs through Sunday night. |
