MILWAUKEE-- Jury selection was completed Tuesday morning and opening statements were made by both the defense and prosecution.

Both sides went through the gruesome details of what happened to 23-year-old Maritza Ramirez Cruz in October of last year when 34-year-old Annette Morales Rodriguez allegedly cut her baby out of her womb in an attempt to steal it and pretend it was her own. Both Ramirez Cruz and the unborn baby died.

Graphic pictures were shown and the 911 call made by Morales Rodriguez was played when she claimed she had just had the baby and it wasn't breathing.
